How YTR began
YTR’s journey began by mentoring college students at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Sta. Mesa. Through what became known as the Change Movement, the organization expanded its reach to other campuses and communities.
Many pioneering members have since become catalysts for positive change in their professions and communities, reflecting YTR’s commitment to purpose-driven leadership. The organization continues to grow through chapters and partnerships, maintaining its focus on empowering young people to influence their environments today.
A vision sparked
Founded by Rodolfo Española in 1997, YTR began with a vision inspired by a newspaper article highlighting the Philippines’ potential for change after a century of struggle. Moved by a deep burden and love for the youth, Española established YTR to respond to what seemed like a hopeless future believing that lasting national transformation begins with transformed young leaders.

EARIST Chapter
YTR - EARIST operates with principles that shape how programs are delivered and relationships are formed, emphasizing mentorship, character development, accountability, and long-term transformation. As YTR expands through local chapters, these principles guide consistent culture, program delivery, leadership development, and sustainable growth.
